Sonora, CA…Adventist Health Sonora is pleased to welcome David Row, MD, who is board certified in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery and has joined the team at General Surgery Associates. Dr. Row provides compassionate care for patients with a range of colorectal conditions, offering advanced laparoscopic and open surgical techniques and personalized care plans for each patient’s unique needs. His areas of expertise include surgical treatment for colon, rectal and anal cancer; screening and surveillance colonoscopy; and caring for patients with disorders such as hemorrhoids, fissures, fecal incontinence, inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis.

He offers surgical treatment modalities using advanced laparoscopic and robotic platforms, trans-anal and open surgery techniques.

Dr. Row dreamed of becoming a physician as a child and later, in college, focused on becoming a surgeon.

“I love that surgical treatments can often have an immediate, as well as lasting impact in helping patients get quickly onto the road to recovery and back to their families,” Dr. Row explains.

Dr. Row’s work is frequently featured in peer reviewed publications, and he contributes to his field by presenting case studies and research at national conferences. Dr. Row completed his fellowship training in Colorectal Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York, in 2009 and practiced in Arizona before joining Adventist Health Sonora.

Dr. Row is married to Hannah Row, MD, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist who joined Adventist Health Sonora in 2021. Together they have two children and away from work they enjoy movies, hiking and skiing.
