Jamestown, CA…On February 14, 2022, at approximately 6:45am, 47-year-old Michelle Robles of Sonora was driving a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on State Route 49, north of Chicken Ranch Road at approximately 50-55 miles per hour. At that same time, 21-year-old Sienna Nulph of Sonora was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang and had entered State Route 49 from Chicken Ranch Road, directly in front of Ms. Robles’ vehicle. As a result, the front of the Jetta crashed into the driver side of the Mustang.
Ms. Nulph was transported by air ambulance to Doctors Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. Ms. Robles was transported by ground ambulance to Adventist Health Sonora for minor injuries.
It was determined that both occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor.
One-way traffic control was in place and the northbound lane of State Route 49 was blocked for approximately one hour.
Our prayers are with her family and friends. Non of us know when this moment may be our last. Let’s be careful out there.
