Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Thursday. A beautiful crispy cold morning is in effect with an inversion putting it’s feel on the town of Bear Valley as it was -2F when I rolled past at 6am. Snow survey up on the Mtn is posting 11F so snow conditions will remain great for off-piste riding with chalky groomers giving way to some excellent skiing and riding. A beautiful sunny day with no clouds is on tap with a high of 26F and lite South winds up to 7mph. Clear weather and cold temps will remain into Sunday then we’ll see a short wave move through Sunday evening bringing a chance of snow. The week following has some good flavor to it with a good chance of some decent snowfall if the stars align and the system off the Northwest Coast of Washington decides to dig a little deeper in it’s trajectory Southward. My hope is that the Euro model will outweigh the GFS and bring more favorable precipitation values to the area. Fingers crossed!
Many laughed at my 400″ season prediction, I’m still sticking with it…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season!
Cheers,
Mattly
