Hey Good People!! Fresh Powder & Pure Mountain Fun at Bear Valley!!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Mattly’s weather forecast for Sunday. A crisp clear beautiful morning is on tap as the skies are clear and the stars are shinning bright at 5am for this mornings weather post. Temperature have risen slightly over the past 24hrs with 16F this morning as apposed to 12F yesterday morning. The daytime high will also increase today, coming in around 31F coupled with a Northeast wind in the single digits and gusting into the high teens. With the Eastern Pacific upper ridge influencing the West Coast we will see winds increase this evening with higher value around the low 30mph range. We will also see a few days of warming temps into the coming midweek before a short wave arrives allowing the surface gradient to continue to influence winds and increasing cloud cover. Skiing and riding yesterday had many smiles across the miles as the 5″ of new snow kept everyone in the pow pocket for the day and even some small refills were on tap. The following weekend shows some activity from the 6-10day model runs but I’ll address that later in the week as a few more days are needed to sus out a more solid forecast for that time frame.

We continue the hopeful path to the 400″ season I keep suggesting. I’m still sticking with it…..let’s hope it still rings true for the season!

Cheers,
Mattly
