Caltrans Traffic Advisory on Hwy 4, 26, and 49 March 20th – 26th

Calaveras County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 4, 26, and 49. Full work schedule is below…

Route 4
• One-way traffic control with regular full-stops in both directions from Horseshoe Drive
to Meko Drive for tree work beginning Monday, March 21, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from
7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This work will continue Monday through Friday into spring 2022.
Motorists are encouraged to conduct essential travel outside scheduled work
hours to help reduce wait times.
When trees are dropped, all traffic is stopped for the safety of the traveling public
and to allow equipment to operate, which can create extended delays of 30
minutes or longer.
• One-way traffic control from Stallion Way to Angel Oaks Drive for crack sealing
beginning Monday, March 21, through Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 8:00 a.m.
to 3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control at Apple Blossom Drive for crack sealing beginning from
7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Main Street to Apple Blossom Drive for crack sealing
beginning Tuesday, March 22, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control at Arnold Byway for utility work beginning Monday,
March 21, through Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control at Boards Crossing Road for highway construction
beginning Monday, March 21, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Pool Station Road to Appaloosa Road for utility work
from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2002.
• One-way traffic control at Tanner Street for utility work from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
Route 26
• One-way traffic control at Sandy Gulch Road for highway construction
beginning Sunday, March 20, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. to
7:00 a.m.
Route 49
• One-way traffic control at Six Mile Creek for highway construction beginning
Sunday, March 20, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control at Ramorini Lane for drainage work beginning Monday,
March 21, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Cherokee Creek to Dry Creek Road for drainage
work beginning Sunday, March 20, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 7:00
p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5- to10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever
possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction
related issues.
