Caltrans Traffic Advisory on Hwy 49, 88, and 104 March 20th – 26th

Amador County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 49, 88, and 104. Full work schedule is below…

Route 49
• One-way traffic control at Depot Road for shoulder work beginning Sunday,
March 20, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Route 88
• One-way traffic control from Defender Grade Road to Wagon Wheel Drive for
tree work beginning Monday, March 21, through Friday, March 25, 2022, from
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This work will continue Monday through Friday into spring 2022.
Motorists are encouraged to conduct essential travel outside scheduled work
hours to help reduce wait times.
When trees are dropped, all traffic is stopped for the safety of the traveling public
and to allow equipment to operate, which can create extended delays of 30
minutes or longer.
• One-way traffic control from Jackson Creek to Jackson Valley Road for utility
work from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Volcano Road to Hill Top Street for utility work from
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

Route 104
• One-way traffic control at Michigan Bar Road for highway construction
beginning Sunday, March 20 through Friday, March 25, 2022, from 9:00 p.m. to
6:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related
