Angels Camp, CA…The Calaveras County Board of Education unanimously voted at last night’s regularly scheduled board meeting to approve Karen Vail as the new Calaveras County Superintendent of Schools. She will complete the remainder of Scott Nanik’s term starting July 1, 2022.

Vail is running unopposed in the upcoming election, that 4-year term will begin on January 1, 2023. “I am excited to support the school districts in Calaveras County. I appreciate the Calaveras County Board of Education’s unanimous vote in naming me interim Superintendent of Schools and look forward to the great things we will accomplish together on behalf of students,” said Vail.
