Arnold, CA…As part of its wildfire prevention efforts, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) is performing important safety work along Highway 4 in the Arnold area. PG&E is strengthening the electric system in the Arnold community by installing interconnection hubs. This work will provide temporary power generation to shared community services, such as community centers, hospitals, banks and fire stations, in the event of public safety power shutoff events.
PG&E’s safety work will begin on May 9 and will and continue through the end of July. During the day, Arnold residents may observe PG&E employees and contractors in the area performing work with and equipment such as line trucks, digger trucks, excavators and dump trucks. Work hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
While the safety work is performed, customers may experience lane closures along Highway 4.
For questions about the project, please contact Gustavo Elias-Cortes at PG&E (510) 774-7618.
