Sonora, CA…Earlier this month on Thursday May 12th deputies responded to the area of Country Road in Sonora for a report of a burglary in progress at a residence. Deputies arrived and a male suspect ran from them on foot. Deputies gave chase and searched but were unable to locate the suspect. Through investigation Deputies were able to link Bauman to a second burglary, which also had occurred in the area of Country Road, on Thursday May 5th.

On Saturday May 14th deputies conducted a parole search at Bauman’s residence in the area of Tuolumne City. While searching the residence, Deputies recovered several items of stolen property from the residence. Deputies also located 26-year-old Dalton Brown hiding under a bed. A record check of Brown found he was on searchable probation. Investigation found Brown was currently living in a shed on the property with another resident and a small child. In the shed on the property deputies located drug paraphernalia, and a Butane honey-oil extraction lab, used for creating concentrated cannabis. The drug paraphernalia and butane honey-oil lab were both within reach of the child. Further investigation found Brown had committed the burglary on Thursday May 5th with Bauman.
