Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) Awards Career & Technical Training Scholarships for 2022 totaling $9,000

Angels Camp, CA…Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) recently awarded Career and Technical Training (C&TT) scholarships to a total of nine high school students: six Calaveras High School students, one Bret Harte High School student and two Mountain Oaks School students. Each received a $1,000 scholarship.

The students receiving C&TT scholarships and their fields of study are:

Calaveras High School:
Carlos Meza-industrial technician, Gregory Forest-law enforcement, Jacob Hughes- diesel mechanics, Joshua Hughes-diesel mechanics, Randi Adams-radiology technician, and Travis Byrd-business administration.

Mountain Oaks School:
Hannah Smith-esthetician and Victoria Malagon-culinary science.

Bret Harte High School:
Tyson Davis-diesel technology.

“These deserving students are to be commended! We are confident that they will be successful in their training and career goals. Generous donations from individuals and local businesses make these sizable scholarships available for local students” states Linda Kangeter, CCF Scholarship Committee Chair.

CCF administers the fund that makes these C&TT scholarships possible. Since the C&TT Scholarship fund’s inception in 2011, over $122,500 has been awarded.
