Valley Springs, CA…Calaveras Consolidated Firefighters from Jenny Lind – E133, Valley Springs – E132, and Cal Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire behind the Valley Christian Church at 2475 Silver Rapids Rd in Rancho Calaveras – Valley Springs.

The fire was a 50’ x 100’ spot in the middle of the field. Forward progress was stopped and the fire was contained.

The cause of the fire was determined to have started by illegal fireworks – Bottle rocket (aerial fireworks).
No witnesses were on the scene to report who set off the illegal fireworks
