San Andreas, CA…Over the last several months, CAL FIRE law enforcement officers have been investigating a number of arson caused wildland fires in the West Point area. Through the investigation, Sandy Sims of West Point was identified as a suspect. CAL FIRE officers arrested Sims on July 11th, 2022 for four counts of PC 451 (c) Arson to Wildland and four counts of PC 454 (a) (2)- Arson during a state of emergency. Sims is currently being held without bail at the Calaveras County jail.
