Murphys, CA…On July 23, 2022, preliminary investigation shows that Aidan D McGee, 22 from Mokelumne Hill was traveling west on French Gulch Road, west of Murphys Grade Road. For an unknown reason, he allowed his vehicle to cross into the eastbound lane and then off the roadway to the south. The vehicle then collided into a fence and a tree which caused major damage to the vehicle. After the impact, the vehicle came to rest facing in a south westerly direction.

He was transported from the scene to a nearby landing zone, however, Aidan succumbed to his injuries prior to being transported to a trauma center.

It is unknown at this time if drugs and/or alcohol contributed to this collision.
