Chutney & More on Tap for UCCE Master Food Preservers Class

Wallace, CA…Join UCCE Master Food Preservers of Amador/Calaveras Counties on Saturday, August 20th from 9am to 12noon at Tri-Lake Church Community Center, 7999 Wards Avenue in Wallace for a class on savory jams and jellies. We’ll explore making a variety of spiced fruit jams, jellies, chutneys, and more. Enhance a grazing platter or charcuterie spread with peach chutney or pepper jelly. Learn that chutney is not just a side dish; it can be used as a glaze for meats and poultry. Use chutney as a layer on a cracker topped with cheese or on a cream cheese dip. Be inspired and go home with lots of recipes to try on your own.
