Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! It’s currently raining at 8am and has been fairly steady since about 3:30am this morning. A 50% chance for continued rain is slated for today with possible thunderstorms associated with the afternoon hours. We may get to the mid 60’s today but we will have to wait and see how the rain plays out. Winds will generally be lite in the 6-9mph range. Flash flooding has been an issue the last few days as afternoon rain has fallen fairly heavy on the East side of Ebbetts Pass as well as the Hermit Valley area. Closures are in effect so check with Cal Trans before heading East of Lake alpine today.
The wet weather looks to pass through the area later this evening bringing sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 60’s through the weekend. It’s a great time to get up to Alpine County and see what we have to offer.
Peace Out,
Mattly
