One Way Traffic Controls on Hwys 4 & 49 this Week

Calaveras County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations this week on State Routes 4 and 49.

Route 4
• Intermittent traffic breaks in both directions from Bonanza Mine Way to Appaloosa Road for highway construction for the Wagon Trail Realignment Project beginning Monday, August 8, through Thursday, August 11, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Canyon View Drive to McKenzie Avenue for tree work beginning Monday, August 8, through Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Lilac Drive to Arnold Byway for utility work beginning Tuesday, August 9, through Friday, August 12, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Route 49
• One-way traffic control at Raspberry Lane/Hardscrabble Street for utility work from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022.
• One-way traffic control at Dogtown Road for utility work beginning Monday, August 8, through Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Intermittent one-way traffic control from San Domingo Creek to Connel Lane for tree work beginning Monday, August 8, through Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Gatewood Street to Court Street/Adam Street for
utility work beginning Tuesday, August 9, through Friday, August 12, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic
incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
