Driver Tries to Dodge Charges by Impersonation, Ends Up with Additional Charges

Sonora, CA…At around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for having an expired and suspended registration. The driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Christina Archer, attempted to conceal her identity by giving the deputy a California Driver’s License belonging to someone else. The deputy noticed something was off, and though further investigation, was able to identify the driver as Archer. The deputy conducted records check of Archer and found she had a misdemeanor and a felony warrant for her arrest.

During a search of Archers vehicle deputies located bank cards belonging to several different people, a small bag of methamphetamine, a small amount of heroin and drug use paraphernalia. The deputy called the card owners and spoke to one of the victims, who reported her card had been stolen and used.
