Motorcycle vs Truck Carrying Bee Boxes Takes Life of Modesto Man

Keystone, CA…On August 22, 2022, at approximately 9:50PM, 62-year-old Ronald Ray Woods of Oakdale was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, while transporting bee boxes, northbound from the Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround, crossing westbound State Route 120. At that same time, a 67-year-old male from Modesto was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle westbound on State Route 120, approaching Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround at an undetermined rate of speed. As Mr. Woods was crossing westbound State Route 120, the front of the Harley-Davidson struck the passenger side of Mr. Woods vehicle.

As a result, the rider was ejected from the motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Mr. Woods remained on scene and called 911. He did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash. The rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. This crash is still under investigation, and it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol are a factor.
