Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Today sunshine will take the drivers seat and bring beauty across Sierra as the recent storm system which blanketed BV with 36″ of new snow shows its wonderland face. With a high of 32F the air will feel crisp today coupled with an Northeast wind from 5-8mph. Some clouds will arrive later this evening as surface gradients lessen and a lite northerly flow develops. A return of snowfall may occur Saturday as that system will impact the Northern portion of the state before taking a more southerly flow into Central California. Snowfall for this system looks to remain less than an inch so not much to report on there.
As we move beyond the weekend, ridging will return with seasonally cooler temps as we approach the Calendar shift to Winter. There is another potential system around day 7/8 from today but confidence is lacking at this time for decent snowfall production.
Our Mountain Ops Teams will be taking advantage of the cooler temps and keep pummeling our slopes with snow making giving us a great addition to the natural snowfall!
As always, bring on the snow!
Ullr is showing face so keep doing those snow dances.
Peace Out,
Mattly
