Markleeville, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 10 will reopen State Route 89/Monitor Pass at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, after a temporary closure due to winter weather. Route 4/Ebbetts Pass remains closed from the east end of Lake Alpine to 7.3 miles east of the Route 89 junction.
Route 108/Sonora Pass is closed for the winter from Kennedy Meadows Road to 3 miles west of the junction at U.S. 395 (Mono County). Route 108/Sonora Pass is closed from Kennedy Meadows Road to the Sno-Park until further notice.
Route 120/Tioga Pass currently is closed from Crane Flat to 3 miles west of the U.S. 395 junction.
Caltrans will assess the highways before reopening or keeping them closed for the winter. More winter weather is expected around Thanksgiving.
