Hey Good People!! Opening Day is Today for Bear Valley! Your Pure Mountain Fun Awaits!!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! Opening day is today!!!! A mostly sunny day is ahead with the daytime high coming in around 44F with a lite SSE wind. Yesterdays projected high of 44F came in at 51F and the overnight low just barely went to 39F in the last hour. We will see temps cooling a bit in the next 48hrs before a quick system arrives and brings a possible 1-2″ of new snow beginning late Sunday evening into Monday. The system is slowing down and drying out somewhat so Monday morning into mid-day looks to be the time slot for snowfall which should fall down to the 3500-4000′ range as cooler air arrives with that system.

A drying out will occur come Tuesday before a second system arrives later Wednesday evening. Cooler temps will also arrive with that system as hemispherical transitional cooling for the Northern latitudes shows face as we approach true winter here in the Sierra Nevada.

The MJO has some good positioning to influence weather production into December so keep those fingers crossed and do those snow dances!

As always, bring on the snow!

Peace Out,
Mattly
