Hey Good People!! POW Riding & 22 Inches of Fresh Snow at Bear Valley!

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! It’s a POW riding day today Good People! 22″ of recent snowfall is waiting to tracked out as we have 100% of the frontside bowl open this weekend while we work towards bringing the backside online for next weekend. The approaching system from the South is slated to bring a fair amount of precipitation today and through the weekend. A warm front will keep snowfall elevations around the 6-8000′ range initially then dropping down to the 4-5000′ range come Sunday.

The projected high for today looks to be 36F with increasing South winds as surface gradients tighten up. The 5-9″ expected today may come in a lil’ short of that projection based on timing and the warm front. By 10pm tonight things should cool back down for all snow and another 7-11″ could fall with Sunday bringing in another 6-12″ before the system heads East. Unsettled weather looks to stick around through the coming week so stay tuned for more on that.

Peace Out,
Mattly
