San Andreas, CA…In this episode of Inside View, Sarah Lunsford talks with retiring District 3 Supervisor Merita Callaway, who has served the Calaveras community for over 30 years. She has a long and distinguished career, and is one of the longest serving County Supervisors in California.
Callaway was born in Hawaii, raised in a military family, and lived throughout the United States, she has been committed to Calaveras County as her home for many years, moving to District 3 in 1987 as the PG&E Mother Lode Manager. She serves on many different local organizations Including the White Pines Park to Murphys Community Club, and is on the board of the Calaveras Community Foundation and the Calaveras Winegrape Alliance.
Callaway has always been committed to buying local, from shoes to refrigerators. She is a fan of Calaveras arts, culture, Arnold Rim Trail, music, and wine, and you can find her at many Calaveras County events.
Now she is off to another Grand Adventure Our community will miss her dedication, availability and the seeing her smile when we’re out and about!
