Hey Good People! 14″ of New Snow Overnight at Bear Valley! (Update…Bear Valley Closed Today)

Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! 14″ of new snow has fallen overnight as the 3rd AR event takes a foot hold. Winds have also increased with 40mph being registered. Today, a warm air mass looks to move through raising snow levels up to around the 7000′ sometime around 7-8am.This will produce heavy wet snowfall and the chance of increased winds upwards of 50mph. Snow totals of 24-36″ are very likely over the next 24hrs or so so be prepared if traveling up the hill today for possible delays, power outages and closures.

These storms will give us, as well as all other NorCal resorts a run for our money bringing copious snow to the area. Make good travel plans, slow your roll up the Hwy and heed weather and Caltrans reports for a better journey up to the resort.
