Valley Springs, CA…This afternoon a traffic hazard was reported on Watertown Road. Upon investigation, it was found that a male pedestrian was screaming and walking in the lanes of traffic. Emergency units were promptly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arriving, the responding officers found the male pedestrian agitated and continuing to shout. They immediately worked to calm him down and assess the situation. After speaking with the individual and evaluating his state of mind, it was determined that he was experiencing a mental health crisis.

Once additional units arrived, the male pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The incident caused temporary delays on Watertown Road, but fortunately no injuries were sustained.
