Kirkwood, CA…This photo taken Monday gives you some idea of the conditions crews are working with on State Route 88 in the Sierra. Currently, Carson Pass is open, and Route 88 is closed from Peddler Hill to Kirkwood, including Carson Spur.

There is no ETO at this time, but crews are actively working to clear the snow and reopen the highway as safely and quickly as possible.
