Burson CA…On January 24, 2023, at about 7:20 AM, the Calaveras County SWAT Team, Amador County SWAT Team, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol, Amador County District Attorney’s Office, and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Air Operations served a search warrant in the 10,000 block of South Camanche Parkway in Burson.
The search warrant resulted from a long-term Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement Team (ACCNET) investigation centered around narcotics distribution to their county. Based on numerous facts and circumstances surrounding the warrant, the decision was made to use both SWAT Teams and Officers from the California Highway Patrol for the service of the search warrant.
Upon arrival, Amador SWAT Team observed Suspect Timothy Daniel Stuart Jr., 43 years of age of Burson, exit one of the many travel trailers. Suspect Stuart ignored lawful orders and attempted to flee on a high-performance street motorcycle. As the Deputies continued to give orders to stop, he recklessly drove past them, causing five Deputies to quickly move out of the way rather than being struck by the motorcycle. Suspect Stuart continued down the long dirt driveway reaching unsafe speeds. As he increased his speed, he began to lose traction. As he lost traction, he could not maintain control of the motorcycle, ultimately crashing near several Calaveras County deputies positioned around the property’s perimeter. Suspect Stuart was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
Suspect Laura Daun Alice Soderholm, 21 years of age, Valley Springs, was detained after coming out of the same trailer where Stuart was originally observed. During the search of the property deputies located about 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine, 30.6 grams of Heroin, (2) loaded semi auto handguns, (1) loaded revolver, multiple rounds of ammunition, (1) stolen vehicles (motorcycle) and stolen property from the East Bay Municipal Utilities District.
