Jackson, CA…The driver of the Subaru Outback was driving eastbound on SR-88, west of Ousby Road, at an unknown speed. Snyder was driving her Jeep Compass westbound on SR-88, west of Ousby Road, at 50 miles per hour approaching the Subaru’s location. Due to Snyder’s intoxication, she drove across the painted double yellow lines and entered the eastbound lane of SR-88 where she collided, head-on, with the front of the Subaru, resulting in major front-end damage to both vehicles and the Subaru catching fire.
Snyder sustained moderate injuries from the collision. The 10 year old juvenile in the right front seat was not wearing his seatbelt properly and sustained major life threating injuries. The juvenile was flown by air ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center and Snyder was transported by ground ambulance to Sutter Amador Hospital, where she was later transferred to UC Davis Medical Center.
The driver of the Subaru was flown by air ambulance to Sutter Roseville Hospital, where he later deceased due to his injuries.
