Murphys, CA…The luck of the Irish will take on special meaning for one happy twosome when they are transported from a gold rush town with Irish heritage to the fabled land of shamrocks and leprechauns as grand prize winners of the Win a Trip to Ireland raffle as part of this year’s Murphys Irish Day celebration that will be held Saturday, March 21. The coveted prize offers the travelers flexibility in creating their own itinerary. They will enjoy their first night in a pre-booked accommodation in Dublin or Shannon and then spend the next five nights in Irish Bed & Breakfasts sprinkled throughout the countryside. The couple will have daily home cooked Irish breakfasts. Air transportation and a standard shift rental car are included.
The Murphys Business Association has contracted with Above & Beyond Travel to book this trip. As is usually the case, some restrictions apply.
Specially created Murphys area vacation prize packages will be awarded to three runners-up.
The first includes two nights lodging at Murphys Vacation Rentals, dinner for two at Outer Aisle, lunch for two at Aria Bakery, wine and food pairing for eight from Frog Tooth Winery, and a kayak rental from Sierra Nevada Adventure Co.
Another package includes two nights stay at Murphys Hotel, dinner for two at V Bistro, lunch for two at Roquefort, wine and food pairing for 6 from Val du Vino Winery, and a zip line experience for two and family pass from Cave & Mine Adventures.
The third prize package encompasses two night’s lodging at Murphys Inn & Suites, dinner for two at Grounds, lunch for two at Rob’s Steak House, a half-price wine tour for six with Courtwood Wine Tours, and a family walking pass from Cave & Mine Adventures.
Raffle tickets are five dollars each or five for $20. They are available through March 20 at the Calaveras Visitors Bureau, in Angels Camp, and many locations in Murphys including The Spice Tin, Tanner Vineyards, Marisolio Olive Oil, Jillian’s Day Spa, Murphys Hotel, Sierra Nevada Adventure Company, Creative Cookware, Gold Country Roasters, Bodega del Sur, and Tea-n-Tiques. They also will be available along Main Street during Irish Day.
The winning tickets will be drawn on Saturday, March 21, as part of the Murphys Irish Day Celebration. The winner need not be present.
