Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Department…”We are happy to report, after hours of negotiations this incident has come to a peaceful resolution. The woman who was being held inside of the home was able to exit the home safely. The man inside has been taken into custody by deputies. Both the man and woman were offered medical aid. No one involved suffered serious injury. The investigation into this incident is ongoing. We want to thank our community for their patience and support during this incident. Road closures have been lifted.

Our SWAT team, including crisis negotiators are now also on scene. Our deputies are actively communicating with a male subject towards a peaceful resolution.
