West Point, CA…Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation warning to approximately 34 homes in the Middle Fork of the Mokelumne River area in West Point due to a potential debris slide. Residents that live in the area of Barney Way should be prepared in the event that an evacuation order is given. Although only a warning has been issued, if you feel you are unsafe you are encouraged to evacuate. Please refer to https://bit.ly/3n3T5tH for zones being issued a warning in the West Point area. Currently Zone E006A, E0031A, E0033A are the only areas affected in this warning.
