The “Paris–Roubaix” of California the Copperopolis Road Race is April 8th

Copperopolis, CA…From Velo Promo…”Despite the torrential rains and other foul weather, the Copperopolis course is for the most part the same as the past several years.. There are more potholes than in the past, including on the first section of the downhill on Hunt Road (2.5 miles before the finish), but the County is planning to repair those this week. There is a short gravel and mud washout section just at the beginning of the long flat straight across Salt Springs Valley, and a set of potholes just before the sharp left onto Hunt Road.

The County last summer paved some more seemingly random sections of the course (and they were some of the worst). The remainder of the course is as bumpy as usual, and the smooth sections are as beautiful. Yes, we will have neutral feed and feeders. The creek and the waterfalls are in full flow, and we hope to see you there on April 8.

Salt Springs Resort is now called Rock Steady Adventures – new owner – and is open for camping. Call (209) 785-5267. Motel info is on our flyer.”
