Angels Camp, CA…RoxAnne Elise Murray – 85 – Born May 18, 1937 in Bowbells, North Dakota, died March 27, 2023 in San Andreas, Mark Twain Hospital. Married to Ray Borean until his passing in 2013, Married to Doug Murray. RoxAnne was a passionate quilter with an incredible fabric collection and enjoyed spending time with the Independence Hall Quilters. She was a frequent visitor to Yosemite and volunteered there for several years, guiding many visitors and answering their questions. An avid traveler, she visited almost every state from the comfort of an RV (including a famous trip with her dear friend Betty Schweiker to Alaska when they were both in their 70’s). RoxAnne was a retired labor and delivery nurse – she loved her job and often spoke of the privilege she felt in helping usher new lives into the world, and in sharing the joy of parents as they welcomed their babies into their lives.
RoxAnne is survived by her husband, Doug Murray, children; Mike Borean, Bitsy Cameron, Jane Kelson, Paul Borean and Tony Borean, grandchildren: Chad Borean, Jordan Borean, Jacquie Borean, Heidi Gunter, Scott Cameron, Kyle Kelson, Suzanne Kelson-Rhoades, Julia Kelson, Sean Borean, Sarah Borean, Jessie Roots, and Ashlee Rodriquez. And many great grandchildren: Jackson and Cody Gunter, Raiden Roots, Leo Borean, Blakely, Sawyer and Dawson Rodriquez, Ronan and Cormac Kelson, and Amber Rhoades.
Services to be held on Saturday, April 15th, 11:00am at the St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Murphys. Reception to Follow.
