Angels Camp, CA…Loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend to many. Avery Brewster Apley 42 years old of Angels Camp passed away unexpectedly April 4, 2023. He was born December 16, 1980 in Lodi California. He is survived by his wife Amy Apley, daughters Piper and Ryder Apley, parents Grant and Valerie Apley, brother Zachary (Tom) Apley, his grandmother Phyllis Raggio, in-laws Jim and Arlene Justice and Janece Roberts. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins, numerous family and countless friends, especially his tight knit group and there were many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete Raggio and Carl and Jean Apley.
Avery was a scholar athlete playing basketball for Bret Harte High School graduating in 1999. He continued his education and graduated from Chico State University with a BS degree in Natural Recourses in 2004. While attending Chico he made the Dean’s List numerous times. He worked 15-plus years as a Land Surveyor for F3 Engineering of the Bay area and lastly for TSD Engineering of Folsom. He retired last year and his new career was raising his daughters with his wife and working on their property. He was the happiest being outdoors, he loved the outdoors. Avery loved hunting with his family and friends making multiple trips out of state with Papa Pete. His love of snowboarding grew more and more over the years teaching his daughters and going to Mt. Reba as a family and with his countless friends and their families. As a youth he played soccer, basketball and baseball.
With his big heart, Avery had a special way to light up any room he walked into with his beautiful smile and his laugh, which we all will never forget. He was patient, he was kind, he was modest, he was humble and a man of few words. All he ever wanted was a simple life, raising his daughters with Amy. He was a great listener to his friends and he loved unconditionally.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 starting at 11 am to 4 pm at the Broglio Ranch, 431 Dogtown Road, Angels Camp, CA 95222
