Sonora, CA…A now injured 42 year old Jamestown man unlawfully took a vehicle from in front of a 48 year old Sonora man’s business on Cuesta Court in Sonora. The Sonora man followed the man in the stolen vehicle. After a short distance, he parked the taken vehicle and began to walk away from it. The vehicle theft victim arrived at approximately the same time struck the pedestrian leaving the stolen vehicle with his 2010 Ford Crown Victoria.

The collision resulted in major injuries and head trauma to pedestrian. The injured party was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center and was then flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with life threatening injuries. The Sonora man was uninjured and remained at the scene. The identities of the parties are being withheld due to the severity of the injuries and the ongoing investigation.
