Arnold, CA…The 2023 Arnold Independence Day Parade is in the history books. For over 4 decades the Greater Arnold Business Association (GABA) has organized the parade and for many years Linda Baker has been doing the heavy lifting to make sure the parade rolls down Hwy 4 on the 1st Saturday in July. With the increased permitting costs GABA is very thankful for the sponsors and donations that kept the tradition alive and will do so in future years as well. GABA would like to thank Big Trees Market, Fox Security, Kevin’s Crane Company, The Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District, VUSD, Anna Davenport, CJ Stevens, Mari Parsnick, Doreen Dennehy & Many More!
Now on to the parade… this year’s Grand Marshal was Kay Emerson, longtime community supporter and one of the founders of KW Emerson. Tyler Duncan sang the national anthem & Linda Dorsett sang the anthem from the Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District as well.
The parade announcers & helpers were Lt. Greg Stark, Supervisor Martin Huberty, Teri Reese, Beth Lemon, Kevin Andel, Jeannie Nulthaup & many more.
This year’s parade was dedicated to founding GABA Member Jim Carlon
