No Injuries For Sonora Couple In Overturned Motorhome Collision On Hwy 49

San Andreas, CA…On March 21, 2016, at approximately 1235 hours, a Sonora man was traveling northbound on SR-49 south of Union Mine Rd. at 50-55 miles per hour in a Jayco/Motorhome with a secondary vehicle, Ford Ranger, in tow. The driver allowed the right side tires of V-1 to travel east of the asphalt roadway edge onto the dirt/gravel shoulder. He corrected steered to the left and applied the brakes. Unfortunately the motorhome traveled out of control and crossed both traffic lanes. The Jayco and attached Ford Ranger exited the west roadway edge and overturned once reaching the downward embankment. The driver and his passenger exited the vehicle and waited for CHP and emergency personnel to arrive.
