Copperopolis, CA…On September 2nd, 2023, at approximately 6:05 p.m., deputies were dispatched to Lake Tulloch in response to reports of a boating accident. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 23-foot 2001 black and white International boat crashed into a privately owned beach west of the O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge in Copperopolis. The operator of the vessel, 21-year-old David Foxx of Felton, CA, had two juvenile passengers on board during the incident.

One of the juvenile passengers received medical attention on the scene for minor injuries and was released. Foxx was investigated on suspicion of boating under the influence (BUI) and ultimately cited for the offense.
