San Andreas, CA…Calaveras County Department of Public Works would like to inform the public that the Guardrail Upgrades Project was delayed and will begin construction this week, continuing through October and November at various locations countywide.
Calaveras County has contracted with Midstate Barrier, Inc. to conduct the work on this important Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP). Crews will be removing old guardrail installations and replacing them will new guardrails that meet current Caltrans standards.
Work will occur on sections of Murphys Grade Road, O’Byrnes Ferry Road, Pool Station Road, Southworth Road, Gold Strike Road, and Garibaldi Street.
Construction for these locations will occur from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, weekdays. Expect single lane closures and minor traffic delays. We ask for your patience with workers in the area and to use extra caution when workers are present.
