Arnold, CA…As of November 16, 2023 The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team has expanded the search effort to locate Missing Person Ann Herford. Search teams from throughout the State have been deployed to the search by the California Office of Emergency Service and include searchers from the California Rescue Dog Association, Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit, Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, United States Forest Service, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue, and air assets from the California Highway Patrol. In total more than 64 searchers, 3 Canine teams, 2 UAV’s and 9 E-Bikes were deployed.

As of this posting, the missing person has not been located. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that persons in the area of the Lakemont subdivision that surrounds the Arnold Rim Trail check their immediate property and outbuildings.

We would like to thank the Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge (1123) for their support in providing lunches for the searchers. The lunches were a welcome treat.
