Murphys, CA…Ozzie and Harriett. Father Knows Best. I Love Lucy. Life “as it should be”- ordered, polished, and served up with a daily smile and a martini. It is tempting to want to trade in the high powered life of constantly being plugged in, electronically attached to the world, caught up in the rat race where everything is never enough. When Katha and Ryu meet Dean, the ultimate in “Timeshare deals” becomes a time warp of sorts, as this New York power couple decide to try living in 1950’s America, in a re-enactment community created by The Society for Dynamic Obsolescence. The goal: to escape the 21st century and revert to the 1950’s.
