Hey Good People! Mother Nature & Man Made Snow Base is Building Towards Opening Day!

Bear Valley, Ca…Hey Good People! 4″ of new snow fell overnight on the snow survey as weather temps help push those numbers to the top end of the forecast. It is 18F currently at the base area and the snow makers are pumping out good amounts of man-made snow to compliment Mother Nature. Weather for today will see some clearing as it looks to be mostly sunny with the high around 29F and a West wind up to 6mph. Cooler temps will keep the low overnight in the 24F range before we see the temps start to rise back up Saturday. Under a Northwesterly flow, the trough deepens to our East and ridging off the Coast will increase in strength over the weekend with some lite short wave activity staying North of Tahoe.

So, with that said, we may see some lite snow shower activity Saturday evening if the stars align. Dry and mild weather is forecast into next week with a good chance per the model runs to move East by mid-week opening the door again for a chance of lite precipitation.

Mother Nature is being a bit finicky with weather during November but remember, November is traditionally a transitional month into Winter for forecasting and can bring with it some lack luster projections. As we inch closer to December forecasts will align much better so get your skis and boards ready as we are not too far off from getting open for the season. Keep checking back in for current updates as well as some general STOKE for skiing & riding to begin!!!!

Peace Out,
Mattly
