Angels Camp, CA…James E. Parish May 18, 1956 ~ November 23, 2023 (age 67). James Elbert Parish, 67, passed away on November 23, 2023 in Angels Camp, California. James was born on May 18, 1956 in Visalia, California and spent his life enjoying the great outdoors, fishing, camping and riding motorcycles. He adored his friends and family more than anything else and could light up any room he walked into with his handsome blue eyes and inspirational, humorous personality.

Despite life’s many difficulties, James was known for overcoming challenges with strength, always embracing the grind with comedy and perseverance. He was very well known within his community and his one of a kind laugh and roar of his Harley will forever be missed and will echo throughout the valleys of Highways 4, 49 and 88 for all time.

Survivors include his mother, Aurora Gomez; daughter, Venissa Mason; son, Daniel James Parish; Granddaughters, Taylor Morse and Avah Parish; and Grandson, Rylan Parish. James is also survived by countless, dedicated friends as well as his beloved son-in-law, Dave Mason and his children, Destiny North, Austin Mason and Korbin Mason. James was preceded in death by his father, John Elbert Parish.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 9* at 2 p.m. at the Lube Room in Dorrington, California.
