Alpine County, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route 88 (SR-88) for maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 88
• One-way traffic control from Red Lake Vista Point to Red Lake Road for guardrail repair work beginning on Monday, December 18, through Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from the Caples Lake Spillway to Schneider Cow Camp Road for guardrail repair work beginning Tuesday, December 19, through Friday, December 22, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
