Bear Valley, CA…Hey Good People! A beautiful day is ahead post Christmas Day and what a great way to usher in the Holiday season and all it brings. With a high of 42F expected and a lite SSW wind, things are shaping up for some Pure Mountain Fun as the Bear is Back! Today the upper level low will begin to influence the West Coast and looks to arrive by Wednesday morning bringing mixed precipitation snow showers starting at the 6500′. By Thursday, snow showers will continue with the snowfall elevation rising to the 7000-8000′ mark. For Bear valley, this will only help to increase the amazing base we have cultivating currently despite the lack of Mother Nature and her natural snowfall. Skiing and riding is amazing right now with exceptional grooming and awesome off-piste conditions. We will be opening the Koala Chair today with access to Feather Duster, Nastar, Kyles and various off-piste elements. We are able to take advantage of our higher Day Lodge base elevation at 7600′ and provide some of the best conditions in the Central Sierra currently.
We will continue to make snow, evaluate the terrain for potential more runs to open, and keep an eye on the weather as our Mountain Operations Teams are out doing an awesome job complimenting Mother Nature with superb snow making around the resort.
The Christmas Holiday, Sunny skies, Great snow conditions to get yer groom on, fun off-piste riding and the New Year, all make the perfect reasons for you to come on up and enjoy Bear Valley this Holiday Season.
THE BEAR IS BACK!!!!!
Peace Out,
Mattly
