San Andreas, CA…On the evening of 04/13/16 suspect Christopher Morrison was arrested by the Reno Police Department while driving the stolen vehicle from the San Andreas carjacking incident that occurred on 4/11/16. Christopher Morrison of Manteca is the primary suspect in the alleged carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon investigation in Calaveras County. The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with the District Attorney’s Office and Reno Police Department to further investigate and prosecute this case locally in addition to the stolen vehicle charge that Morrison is facing in Reno.

The Sheriff’s Office had recent contact with Christopher Morrison when he was incarcerated at the Calaveras County Jail, released on 4-5-16, after being arrested several days prior in Angels Camp for an outstanding out of county warrant and possession of stolen property (stolen vehicle). This case is active and currently being investigated by sheriff detectives.
