Tuesday Morning Chain Control Update. Chains on 4 at Cottage, Hwys 88 & 120 Closed

Arnold, CA…This highway information is the latest reported By Caltrans as of Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 at 09:18 AM.  There is a bit of a mismatch on info though on Hwy 120.  Signs are not reporting it and server not reporting it but Quickmap has 12o closed at Yosemite Entrance.


SR 4
[IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AREA]
Is closed from 0.5 mi east of the Jct of SR 207 /Mt Reba Turnoff/ to the Jct of SR 89 /Ebbetts Pass/ (Alpine Co) – For the winter – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route

Chains are required on all vehicles except 4-wheel-drive vehicles with snow tires on all 4 wheels from Cottage Springs (Calaveras Co) to the Mt Reba Turnoff (Alpine Co)

Is closed from Peddler Hill Summit to Kirkwood (Amador Co) – Due to snow – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route
