San Andreas, CA…Outdoor spaces and amenities for all ages are valuable and essential to Calaveras County. In September of 2023 Calaveras County contracted with O’Dell Engineering to create the County’s first Parks Master Plan. A Parks Master Plan provides an abundance of benefits to a community including, but not limited to; assessing current and future recreation needs of the community, establishing a long-range vision, prioritizing capital improvement projects, strategizing to fill gaps and reduce redundancies within the parks systems, building community support, promoting new ideas and partnerships, and encouraging new opportunities for future development.
The Parks Master Plan will encompass the following County parks and facilities:
Alex Quinones Park, San Andreas (leased to San Andreas Recreation and Park District -SARPD)
Nielson Park, San Andreas (leased to San Andreas Recreation and Park District – SARPD)
Mountain Ranch Community Park (leased to Mountain Ranch Community Club – MRCC)
Murphys Park, Murphys (leased to Murphys Community Club – MCC)
