a Growing Problem in the Western U.S. and What You Need to Know” Presented by Jo Ellis. Director of Education Outreach at the Bay Area Lyme Foundation.

 What is Lyme – overview of the infectious disease, transmission, symptoms, challenges
 Ticks and Lyme – how ticks get infected and become a vector for the disease
 How to protect yourself – recommendations and protocols for your facility
 What to do – if someone is bitten or you suspect has been bitten
 Other tick-borne diseases – coinfections relative to Lyme and ticks
 What we know about treating Lyme – latest statistics and data
 Issues in the field of Lyme disease around diagnostics and treatment
