Groveland, CA…On April 25, 2024, at approximately 8:40am, a 68-year-old male from Groveland was stopped in a 2023 Ford F150 Lightning pickup truck at the stop sign for the Old Priest Grade and State Route 120, near Moccasin. The driver partially exited the vehicle while it was still in Drive and it began to roll forward. As a result, the driver was run over by the vehicle. The vehicle continued rolling forward, traveling off the road.

After leaving the roadway, the front of the vehicle crashed into several fences until it came to rest in an open field. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. This crash is still under investigation and the driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification to the family.
